Vince Vaughn keeps films from his children

Date:

Vince Vaughn has stated that he has no interest in showing his films to his children. The 56-year-old actor and his 46-year-old wife, former real estate broker Kyla Weber, have two children: Locklyn, 15, and Vernon, 12. The teenagers have become familiar with their father’s work mainly through friends’ parents rather than direct viewing.

Vaughn told Extra that while the family watches a variety of films, they do not watch his own projects. He added that his children are aware of his career but “are not in that too much”, explaining why he has no plans to introduce them to his work in the future. The Animal Friends actor said: “I don’t have an interest. I’m sure they’ve watched stuff, but it’s not top of my list.”

In August 2024, Vaughn received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, accompanied by Locklyn, Vernon and Kyla. The couple married in a private ceremony in Lake Forest, Illinois, in January 2010. During the ceremony, Vaughn reflected on how fatherhood has changed him, noting the patience and unique kind of love it has brought into his life.

In his Walk of Fame speech, Vaughn praised his family, joking that his children are “not as lucrative” as his acting career. He emphasised the importance of Locklyn and Vernon, saying that despite the professional acclaim, his family remains his greatest source of joy and love.
