Princess Anne reportedly offered support to Prince Andrew amid controversy

Date:

Princess Anne is reported to have offered her brother, Prince Andrew, a place to stay during a period of personal difficulty, highlighting a private display of family support. According to reports, the Princess Royal contacted him during Christmas 2025, when he was absent from traditional royal celebrations, suggesting he could move to her residence at Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire.

It remains unclear whether the proposed arrangement involved accommodation within the main house or elsewhere on the estate. Despite the reported offer, it is understood that Princess Anne’s stance towards her brother has evolved over time, particularly following his association with convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein. She is now said to support King Charles III’s decision to remove Andrew’s royal titles and limit his public role.

Prince Andrew has since relocated from Royal Lodge in Windsor and is currently residing on the Sandringham Estate. He is believed to be staying at Wood Farm, formerly occupied by Prince Philip following his retirement from public duties, while preparations are made for a further move to Marsh Farm.

The transition appears to be under way, with removal vehicles recently seen transporting belongings to the renovated farmhouse. Local reaction to Prince Andrew’s arrival has been divided, with some residents expressing concern, while others emphasise the principle of innocence until proven guilty.
