The incident occurred in the suburban area of Clayhall, where 56-year-old Faizal Nobeebox confronted a neighbour over markings placed to define parking boundaries. CCTV footage captured the altercation, during which he directed racial abuse and damaged property.

The court heard that Nobeebox destroyed bollards and threw objects towards the neighbour’s home. He later armed himself with a hammer and issued threats to kill, alongside further abusive and sexualised remarks aimed at the victim’s family.

The incident took place on Longwood Gardens on 16 November last year. Nobeebox, now residing on Sydney Road in Abbey Wood, admitted charges of criminal damage and racially aggravated disorderly behaviour.

Appearing at Romford Magistrates’ Court on 24 March, he was ordered to pay a £367 fine and £400 in compensation.

In a victim impact statement, the neighbour described fearing for his life during the incident, stating he believed Nobeebox might carry out his threats. He said the abuse continued even after he retreated indoors, leaving him terrified that his home could be forced open.

The victim added that only the arrival of police officers brought a sense of immediate safety, though he and his wife continue to feel unsettled in their own home. A further charge relating to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place was later dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service.
