Channing Tatum has spoken about the emotional toll of working on Josephine, revealing that the film moved him deeply despite not being present for every scene during production. The thriller-drama centres on an eight-year-old girl who witnesses a violent assault in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, with the story told largely through a child’s perspective.

In comments to Variety, the 45-year-old actor highlighted one particular moment that affected him strongly, involving the young protagonist drawing while looking through a window. He said the scene prompted an unexpectedly emotional response and encouraged reflection on childhood experiences and parental bonds.

Tatum, who has a 12-year-old daughter, said the project led him to reassess his own approach to parenting and communication. He described the film as tackling difficult subject matter in a considered and artistic manner, adding that he felt proud to be involved in the production.
