Speaking in an interview, Hodgins said she felt ready to finish filming despite expecting an emotional farewell. She explained that pregnancy had shifted her perspective, and the physical demands of travelling between Manchester and Leeds for work had become increasingly tiring, prompting her decision to rest ahead of the birth.

Hodgins confirmed she filmed her final scenes in December and has since been focusing on preparing for motherhood. She described the transition as significant, noting that becoming a parent would be the most important role of her life, while expressing confidence in her husband’s support as they prepare to welcome their child.
