Nelson Peltz has commented publicly for the first time on reports of a rift between his daughter Nicola Peltz Beckham, her husband Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, and the Beckham family. Speaking at the WSJ Invest Live event in New York on 3 February, the 83-year-old businessman was asked about the situation following Brooklyn’s recent social media posts detailing his strained relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

When questioned by a Wall Street Journal reporter about managing high-profile disputes in the public eye, Peltz responded with humour before offering a brief reflection. He said his general advice was to avoid press attention, adding that family matters were not appropriate for discussion at the event. He nevertheless stated that both his daughter and son-in-law were doing well and expressed hope for their long and happy marriage.
Peltz’s remarks follow Brooklyn’s Instagram statement in January, in which he said he had remained silent for years but felt compelled to respond to what he described as repeated media briefings by his parents’ representatives. In the post, Brooklyn said he did not wish to reconcile at present and denied being influenced by others, framing his comments as an attempt to defend himself and his marriage.
