Anton Du Beke revealed as Arctic Fox on The Masked Singer

Date:

Anton Du Beke has been revealed as the celebrity behind the Arctic Fox mask on ITV’s The Masked Singer. The 59-year-old dancer became the latest contestant to leave the competition after performing Woman in Love by Barbra Streisand. His unmasking followed speculation from the judging panel, which includes Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall.

Speaking after his exit, Du Beke reflected on his performance and the physical demands of appearing on the show. He noted that the judges had initially suspected a drag queen might be behind the mask, a comparison he said he enjoyed. The panel had also previously suggested that chef Prue Leith could have been Arctic Fox.

The same episode also saw singer Kate Nash unmasked as Monkey Business. Nash performed As Long As He Needs Me from the musical Oliver! and said she had enjoyed taking part in the programme. She described the experience as unique, admitting that while she initially felt nervous, the costume became a form of comfort while performing.

Nash and Du Beke’s departures follow the exit of Marcella Detroit the previous week. Detroit, 73, expressed disappointment at leaving the show early but praised the overall experience, describing the atmosphere as supportive and enjoyable throughout her time on the programme.
